Hi Rich,

Does your network have a password or WEP key? Typically you need to set up a profile for a wireless internet connection where you select which wireless network you want and also type the password in (if the network has one) you then save this profile and then whenever the computer/laptop/or whatever is within range of the network it should automatically connect to the internet. It sounds like the profile on your laptop is working correctly but the PC's profile isn't. If you do have a password on your network (which I would strongly recommend) it sounds like the PC is connecting to someone else's network that doesn't have a password (maybe a neighbour) hence the unsecured message.

1. Does your network have a password
2. Check the internet profile settings on the laptop. Without knowing what operating system you are running it's difficult to provide a step by step guide for this however in the system tray box (where the clock is located) there should be a icon that is for your internet/network settings. Have a look in here and see what you can find out. Make a note of these settings and compare them to the settings on your PC.

Or you could just create a new profile on the PC and see if that improves things.
