was thinking of bypassing the egr , the only thing with the de cat is you would have to mess about every year putting it back on dont you as in mot? its the oil in the intercooler pipes that bothers me if the cat was blocked i suppose that would put pressure on the system wouldn't it? i cleaned the intercooler and all pipes b4 putting the new turbo on so the oil has deff come from the sump and not b4 the old turbo blew up.. ive sent the new turbo back this morn as im sure the vains (vnt) arnt working correctly and when i felt the strength of the acuater it felt way to easy to push the spring in so i think thats one of the reasons the turbo stopped all together
