i fitted one to my mk3 van so it is possable but alot of hasstle. the wiring is not a problem as you can do away with the ecu. as long as the stop solinoid has got a live it will run. the problems you will face though are... the water pump will need changing to an escort diesel one as the mondeo one will not fit. the problem with this is the water pipe on an escort runs between the engine block & the fuel pump & there is some sort or electric solinod thing on the pump thats in the way. escorts have a mechanical leaver instead of a solinod & this clears the water pipe. to convert a mondeo to mechanical you will need to change all the linkages on top of the pump. this is fiddley & easy to get wrong. also a mondeo has a different intercooler set up to a escort & on a mk4 van the intercooler to inlet manifold pipe will not clear the strut top. you may possibley have more room on a mk5/6. in all honesty you would be much better finding a cheap escort td & just swap the lot (you could easly have it done in a day), i talk for experiance

. also if its a mk4 the crank pully will need changing as it wont clear the inner wing. hope this helps
