I've only had 1 issue with a universal bracket, was supposed to fit 40"+ tv's, when the arms were bolted to the 47" tv the wall plate fitted in between them, so we cut the wall plate in half and mounted the 2 halfs 6" apart on the wall and put 6 screws per plate instead of the 8 screws for the whole plate in 1 piece

1 year on and all is good, we even used the same method when we mounted it in the new house
