Can anyone help me???

i got a tranny 4000 series radio but it has a "V" number as opposed to to an M number, my decode software only does M,L,C and A will the V number be the same as the M???

serial number is V002914 and the code i get from M decode is 2866 is this rite or do i need to obtain new sofware????
