Does the garage she bought it from have to pay for all the repair costs to the car?

Im hoping it hasnt damaged the injectors as she drove it for about 8 miles

Is best thing i can do it go to the garage with the sample or is there anything else i can do?
wot do you mean it was brown mate just that i was speaking to someone with a st170 and they had a brown sludge in there tank along the lines and was doing the same not revving properly and then eventually died to pump failure, and brown sludge is quite random in a tank so after reading your post bad fuel does seem to be a good diagnosis
