contrary to popular belief, bread does NOT make you gain weight. It has carbs in it, white bread is not as good as wholemeal, but bread on the whole is not a bad food.

Any food eaten in excess will not help with your weight, but there is plenty of truth in " everything in moderation "

I cant eat bread as im intolerant to yeast, and it has slightly speeded up my weight loss, although i suspect thats because ive replaced it with salads which are lower in calories anyway.

6-8 slices is a lot a day though, thats 6-800cals alone in bread. Maybe try having 2-3 and then a jacket potato or pasta instead, still giving you the carbs you want but in a more filling form of food
