I had a similar sort of issue years ago on a mk4 3i,
I ditched everything alarm related that i could find but that wasnt the problem
Sourced it to a broken/split wire at the starter motor, seemed like it would lose connection with some engine movement or bumps in the road.
Well I reckon it's something alogn these lines, just gotta find the wire that's causing problems! :S
Def not the starter, it turns over no probs, it's gotta be something to do with the fueling
