Default Still Needing Help!!!!!!

I got my car back from my mechanic today thinking all was fixed, but as I've just been towed home from my old man, it would seem that we are back to the drawing board!!

For those who don't already know, the car is a 1.6 CVH Efi turbo.

About a month ago, out of the blue, the car cut out while driving about 50mph. GIt wouldn't start again, and the fuel pump was staying on constantly.

Fiddled with the plug on the crank shaft sensor and it started again. Drove it for a bit, then it cut out again, exact same problem.

Fuel getting to the injectors no probs, and sparking ok.

Replaced the crank sensor, with apparently the two differnt kinds you get for this engine??? auto electrician said this was what was wrong.

It started, but then cut out about 15 minutes later. Then looked at the fuel pump relay, and it was knackered, so swapped that, and it started. Left it running for about half an hour, didn't cut out.

Started to drive it home from the garage, it cut out again! But then it started straight away, and I managed to get it home.

I've since drove it about 3 miles, and it's went and decided to cut out again, with the fuel pump staying on constantly again!

Does anyone have anything else they can suggest?? Nearly at my wits end with it!

(Never mind having to drive my mum's scabby N-reg corsa while mine is off the road!!)
