How long ago was it your mate got convicted of fraud?
I went over to the embassy in Belfast on February 2006 to get a visa for going to Vegas in the May and because I had a conviction from around 2001/2002 for possession of a small bit of cannabis the woman couldnt make the decision there and then and had to pass my case onto there Homeland security.
I left there gutted as my mate who was with me got a 10 year Visa. This was on the Thursday. 2 days later I had my passport delivered back to me with a Visa for 1 year on it. I didnt get any emails or letters saying I had been accepted just my passport delivered back to me.
i think the conviction was 2001 mate so was a while ago, my other friend and i got issued a visa but my mate has to wait which is annoying, should hear in the next 2 weeks or so!
