The two joined together are for the accessory feed and the permanent feed.
The permanent feed must be just that live all the time, even in start position, this keeps the memory, radio stations etc, the accessory feed works in a ford on position 1 and 2 off the igntion switch std radio supply.
I asked me mates place who do repairs on all these things, and he said, yellow is permanent live, red is ignition live, brown is mute wire.
