Ok people...

One that baffles a numb nut like me.. also asked a few freinds they are not sure on the matter either so hopefully someone here will be able to show us what they know on something thats most likely a simple explanation..

Wanting to fit my sony cd player to my MK3 cabby, ive got the blue wire and the black wire.. ususal stuff also the brown wire and red wire.. now the puzzling bit for me is ive got a yellow and red and yellow and brown wire taped together with red tape. Why is this?

Would someone kindly tell me which wires I should and shild not join to what. I normally do these myself but with these 2 wires taped together its put me off.

I can supply photos of nessicary but I suppose they will only tell you what ive just told you? Many Thanks for your time. James
