Every engine has a different engine number, so changing any engine for any other engine needs to comply with the quote from DVLA.

i have swapped countless engines but not increased capacity of the engine as all have been like for like swaps....always just fill in the engine number on part 7 of the reg doc...post to dvla and like magic...within a couple of weeks your new doc drops through the door with the new engine number on it
