on my run from Redditch to Gloucs down the M5 for work mine sees 28mpg quite often with Cruise on...the trouble is i HATE slowing down when someone is labouring in front of me and i tend not to brake if possible just because i don't want my figures dropping

the above figures are pretty representative too IMO....it's actually more economical than my old EVO and on a recent trip to London in my Girlfriends new Volvo C30 2.0sport we only averaged 36mpg cruising at 70-80mph....so IMO getting 28mpg from a big heavy 5.0l BMW is pretty awesome!!
