Going RWD you would prob break even selling the 4x4 stuff to go RWD. The wheelbase is only 4.5" ish different so not massvily different, the big thing is the car sits a lot taller than a saff, hence why people have trouble trying to get them to handle?
I need to drive one really, see what I think as a lot of it would depend on the set up, especially one with a proper 6° rear beam I recon

The thing that put me off doing mine were 2 blokes from my local RSOC have been into cossies for years, one working on lots of rally cars, both have had rear drive Escorts, and both sold them as they didn't like them. Again, both of them were VERY good experienced drivers, do lots of trackdays etc and just didn't get on with the Escos as a rear driver
