it is one of those things IMHO, a RWD Escort will put lots of buyers off as they want the 4x4 it was supposed to come with, same as an RS500/3 door would be worth less (from the few I have seen for sale) that are converted to 4x4..
Cossies are a very hard car to put a price on, 3 doors had a big slump and went back up and over , same as saffs are on the up now, Escorts are coming down a bit, give it a few years and they will be back up.
I was going to RWD my Escos, but kept it 4x4 in the end

Im a massive fan of RWD , Wil , 4x4 is for girls
I love the escoss in RWD , They arnt as loose as a saff so you can drive them harder and keep them in a straight line , BUT , you can hang the arse out if you realy want to
I know what you mean about this car being RWD , But i sold a std escoss with 3 owners from new and FSH about a month before this for less money
