Haa the old dreaded pulley bolt lol.. it's anticlockwise to loosen. You'll need some heat from a good burner directed onto the pulley and the bolt,,Watch you don't melt anything. I heated mine for about 5 mins .. then My mate assisted by using a 3 foot long bar and i made sure it would stay central.

I've always removed the prop shaft, and the whole gearbox, i've never split it from the bellhousing. I suggest you should try supporting the engine and dropping the engine mounts to give you some more movement.. Just curious are you just changing the cambelt ???
