I take it you're meaning the Meguiars soft foam applicators (the yellow ones sold in twin packs)? (cheaper on ebay than Halfords btw )

If so, then yes they are great and I use them for all wax and sealant application by hand, but for polishes, like Autoglym Super Resin or any other hand polish, then I usually use a microfibre pad as I find they work the polishes better than the foam pads. As said, for waxes, which are non abrasive and don't need 'working' into the paint, just wiping on, then the foam/sponge pads are the way to go. They wash out superbly with just regular Fairy liquid in the sink, as it breaks down and dissolves the wax residue extremely well and they come out like brand new.
