Std crank limits
Hi, I have just had my escort cosworth motor stripped and have a few questions regarding a good spec for 500bhp.
What is the std crank good for?
For 500 bhp should I consider longer rods and if so who's?
What port dimensions are required for the head inlet & exhaust?
What cams will suit?
Can I get away with valves but any benefit by changing?
Solid followers?.
Compression ratio?.
The block and head have been soda blasted ready and I have somebody to build the motor and have the head work done, but would like a couple of opinions as I don't want to re-invent the wheel.
Any other good advice would be good.
