just to be predantic about the 1st post you mean you 'rebuilt' not rebuilded' lol.
when i fit a new pump i soak it all up in oil, remove coil pack and crank it over and oil pressure goes up then plug coil pack back in and start it. surely if its not pumping oil the pump must be fucked though?
remove it???
i disconected mine then removed all the plugs so there is no compression then fitted a good strong battery then terned it over a few times it soon draged the oil up the pickup
