Default Can anyone give me an opinion please....

I was looking at an engine on ebay. I placed a bid but missed out on it at the last moment. Anyway, this was a few weeks back and the seller has now just got back to me as i did "ask the seller a question" saying his comp broke. I guess the winning bidder didnt get the engine then! not suprised at that price, but surely he will get fooked by ebay for not selling it? anyway, not my concern! but, my concern is I have been offered the engine for a price, less than what he states on the ebay link, but obviously more than it made in bids.

The spec looks good, but the main thing I am worried about would be the standard rods. and possibly the pistons.

He has emailed me saying he had it setup at interpro? (heard of them) at 180BHP @ 7psi. and a fooked turbo. They had told him with a good turbo it could make figures around 230, 240ish

One of my questions was if he has recipts for the work, he has told me he has them all (around 2K cost), including a fully photo'd build of the engine which sounds good.

He has run the engine for 4000 miles, so i guess fully run in. My questions really are, if I wanted to get some good rods for it, is it possible to get them fitted to what is already there? or is it not that simple? Also, what are accrilites good for bhp wise, am I going to find I need something better for "around" 230, 240, 250 bhp?

What else do you think I need to take into consideration?

Anyway, so you can see what I am banging on about, take a look at the link and let me know your views.

Cheers lads
