also the rear suspension, in the centre, it just has 1 very thick ring washer with two nuts on top, can provide pics if needed, is that normal? if so how do you adjust it?

if you haven't got the Koni tool you could use a pair of pliers but as said above if they haven't been moved recently turn a small amount at a time very slowly!
rear shocks if adjustable type WILL have to be removed so they can be adjusted!
