Strange old laws
My mates son funily enough got done for skateboarding in Dartford high street and they used a victorian law to do him with

"Rolling a wheel in a public place" is the law they used

But....and this is the best bit

For the town hall/Council to be able to enforce said law they have to provide a suitable place to roll said wheel

Anyone that knows Dartford will know that there never used to be a skatepark there.....

....The outcome and short story is that the council could not inforce the said law and had to provide a place to roll the wheel

Dartfort now has a Concrete Skatepark which cost the Council £125.000

My mate got an award and £400 for his input and was on the local news

Very true and goes to show that you can beat the law and the Council and get money for your efforts
