right sister comes to me saying the virus thing has popped up. Looks like a temp internet file so first thing I do is run avast scan and malwarebytes. Avast is for some reason scanning at unbelievably slow pace, and malwarebytes was picking up a few risks (scan hadnt finished though)

Halfway through, get various error messages, antivirus 2009 trying to install, Virusremover2008 trying to install and Spywareguard 2008 already installed. Malwarebytes gets an error message and cannot continue, avast has pretty much come to a standstill, and windows firewall keeps being turned off by these pieces of shit. I then get the virus classic "your system will shut down in ..." counting down then restarting.

Now its restarted avast is no longer picking up any problems apart from malicius emails trying to be sent out all over the shop, malwarebytes will not run in normal or safe mode, even though the process is in task manager, and there is still the wank spyware guard 2008 on the computer

Whats the best course of action really? Since the PC has crawled to a standstill aswell? My favourite is format reinstall - which I can do in an hour, whereas I could be spending hours removing individual files and dll's in safe mode.

Unless somone else knows a more simple fix, ie software that will at least get the pc usable for me to fix the rest?
