ANY officially given ticket form etc from plod/traffic wardens has to be 100% correct, as it has to comply with evidence act.
ANY errors renders it invalid, basic law of the land.
I have just been given a NIP by Norfolk Constabulary, saying that a Offence was commited but does not say what, a vague description of where, naming a road with the wrong number.
Few points here the NIP was not as a result of a Police officers report/statement, (camera vans are staffed by civilians), road number wrong, no evidence given of "offence".
I have asked for photgrapic evidence bearing in mind it can only have come from the camera van , staffed by a civilian,(parked dangerously), they pointed out section 178, the "duty" to say who was driving the car at the time, I pointed out I did consider this malicious as no offence has been suggested or proved and have heard nothing.
If I need to though will say it was roosie driving!!
