Depends what side of it were talking about really. The 'stage' type stuff i certainly dont believe in, i just cant see 'how' it could possibly work.

Regarding hypnosis where people go to stop smoking, lose weight, overcome certain fears/experiences etc, i think thats purely down to the individual in question. I dont think its the actual 'hypnosis' procedure/process that helps them, its just down to the person believing in themsleves in my opinion, and them 'believing' that the hypnosis will actually help them. But hey, if thats what it takes for people to believe in themselves and it helps them with certain things, then fair play to them.
