If its any consolation some insurance companies will give a driver with 9 points cheaper insurance than a driver with 6. The reasoning behind it is that a driver with 9 will be banned if commits one more offence so is more likely to drive better. Hope yours is one of them.

Can see their point as well. Got 9 points all within the space of 3 months when i was 18. Didn't get so much as a parking ticket for the next 5 years after that!
