240 will not work off 110, lucky if it evens moves, if it does would certainly not have any power.
You can get inverters for this, but they would be large around the size of a shoe box as a minimum, and VERY expensive £500 plus, they are not that great either at peak load stuff, but that depends on the wattage of your tool!!
