have you seen the red calibra of a bloke called steve pateman. been in street machine loads of times. it was at one time, don't know if it still is, the fastest street legal car in the world. it was powered by a big block chevy v8. he regularly won on the strip and took the championship in 99,01,02 and 03. its an 11.5 ltr engine on nitrous producing 1400bhp. 0-60 in 1.25 secs, 1/4 mile in 8.14 secs at 174mph. he took it over to the states in 2005 to the world street car championships held at the no problems raceway in louisiana and scalped all the locals making it the fastest road car in the world. this car has to run on normal unleaded prior to an event. it has to have all the trappings of a road car. mot,tax etc.. so no lights removed,wipers still in place etc... see it on youtube on www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9oHTMEiUZQ
