Looking to swap the engine in my Mondeo for something with a bit more power, at the moment my Mondeo's a Mk1 Estate with the 1.8i Zetec engine.

Would a 2.5i V6 engine from the Mk1 Mondeo be a straight swap, what other parts would I need?

Is there any other engines that would fit in? Not looking for a complicated conversion, I'm on a limited budget but would be prepared to do all or most of the work myself.

Any advice is appreciated.
