Ok, My M3 was booked in for an oil service, brake fluid change and vehicle health check this morning! Mrs dropped it off at 10am as arranged, it was a wait with service which they said would take at the most 2 -3 hours.
at 12:15 I get a phone call from dealer saying there are 2 problems, first being that the 2 rear jacking blocks are missing and they will cost £40 to replace! ok big deal I thought! 'ok order them please'.
Next problem is that whilst the technician was draining the oil, the threads have been stripped in the sump and it needs a new sump!

.
We have already removed the sump and just need your go ahead to order the new one at - £980.00 +vat.

. After I picked myself up off the floor I asked her how this had happened as the car has only ever been touched by BMW dealers and if it had been 'cross threaded' it was down to BMW!
After hours of arguing they have said that they will get the sump repaired somehow, and I will have my car back tomorrow!
Now the thing that has pissed me right off, is that when they were expecting me to pay the bill, they were going to charge me over a grand for a new sump! now they are sorting it, they are gonna bodge it somehow!
At the minute I have told them to carry out their repair as I need my car back, but thinking about it it's not really right! will they warrant this repair they are doing or next time it goes in for an oil change am I going to have the same shit?
So after all this the Mrs and my 12 month old daughter get home at 3:15 in a 1.0 corsa that the sales rep has loaned her!!
Sorry for the rant but it's really pissed me off!! should deffo be called stealers and not dealers!
