it would bother me if the car isn't registered correctly, i'm fussy about that sort of thing as i have over the years seen stolen cosworth road cars turned into a rally car and you never know.also imo a rally car that was built from a motorsport shell and registered correctly with paperwork from the preparation company showing its pedigree is a far better car usually.
regards price, somthing you may think is great i may see as abused scrap and not want to touch with a barge pole.
another reason there's loads of motorsport bodyshells that has not been mentioned is when a serious rally team builds a car for a season they always have spare prepared shells to build a car into in the event of a accident, when a car gets sold a lot of the time the person buying doesn't buy everything like the spares,shells etc.
