I've always ha Leda or Koni shocks on my cars but wonwondered what Bilsteins are like.

Can someone explain what the numbers ie 300/70 , 500/200 mean on the Bilstein inserts ? I know some are for gravel and some tarmac but if someone who knows about these would care to explain as I'm looking at geting some for my trackday car.
