I got busted by one of them at Santa Pod.
I was in a Escort Cossie running about 370, and thought it was just standard Nova comple with rust.
I didnt give much effort off the lights, as I thought I would smoke him by the end. He had a wicked start and if it was 1/4 & 10 feet I would got him.
But it isnt & I didnt. Which ment I spent the rest of the day with my mates constantly telling me
"You got Nova taken!!".
classic love it miss mine everyday as it was just such fun, once i finished it was running 300bhp with 321ft-lb torque and pretty much wasted anything in a straight line
'cheeky dog' silky what engine is that???? used to have an astra mk2 gte but didn't know you can get turob'd versions... unless you strapped it on after?
it is a C20LET from a Calibra Turbo, custom built and altered to fit in a NOVA engine bay along with the 6 speed gearbox, the Nova GTE only ever had a 1.6 8v engine fitted from factory abet this 1 had a full Group A spec engine running 150bhp and quaife gearbox when i bought i then bought stripped and rebuild a C20let engine and fitted it and ran it on Phase 2 Chips with a MBC holding 16psi spiking around 18psi
