They will NEVER llok as red and new as that again after a few miles, even with the K&N cleaner, which is what I use, and a lot of other stuff wil damage the filter media, which is surgical grade cotton, they do come reddish in colour but nowhere like a new one, also allow time to dry naturally as quick drying damages them also, always wash from clean side to dirty side, the cleaner is well worth the money, I have had my last bottle for around 5 years, and have done around 15 with this.
