Yes Rick, I have fucked at least 1 of my Farndon rods.
I have thought of the accusump too. Something I may look at.
I must have a bit of an odd one then. Unless I kept the oil level at least on the max mark, I could get the oil light to come on, on bends both left and right hand and then go out the moment I get the car straight again. Thats is on 215 Eagle F1s on the road, coilovers and other fancy suspension stuff set up by Danny at Adrenaline. If it dropped down to the mid way point between min and max, the light would come on on bends. I HAD to keep it on max permenantly.
I'd just like to be able to have a bit of leeway in case I do happen to lose a little bit of oil and don't notice immediately.
The only reason why my engine has failed is because I have had the light come on several times and accelerated the wear on the crank bearings and the oil pump gears. I also assumed that my slightly noisy lifter rattle was my lazy tappet when in fact, it was a warning sign that the oil pressure could have been low but because I knew I had 1 lazy lifter every so often, I didn't think to put an oil pressure gauge on it and check!
