I had my peugeot 806 in for mot last week and it passed but was advised it needed a few bits doing.It needed new front 205/65/15 tyre,front pads,tracking and i thought i would get oil and air filter service done at same time. Big mistake i made by not asking for quote,it went in today and was shocked by the bill,boss was not there so i am sorting it out tomorrow...Am i out of touch or is this silly prices for a 1999 peugeot 806??? a quick check on ebay suggests the parts are astronomical! I have also just noticed they have charged 'supply and fit front pads' and charged seperately for pads.

supply and fit brake pads -£60 about average (too high if just labour)
4 litres semi synthetic - £32 too high
oil filter - £12.24 too high
air filter - £14.54 about average
fuel filter - £12.76 about average
wiper blade - £12.99 depends what type
screen wash - £3.50 too high
Front pads - £55.61 too high
Tracking - £25.00 cheap if four wheel lazor alignment
205/65/15 Tyre - £69.93 depends what make
Total with vat £438.94
for pads,tyre and oil service...are they taking the piss???
