Default DIY External hard drive........

Ive recently given my PC a format and replaced Windows XP with Linux! In order to save the 17gb of music I had collected I have put it onto a second HD prior to the format, that drive was then disconnected and still is! Now I need to get the music back from that drive and onto the Linux HD!

Ive been told about a product which i believe is called an IC box (that might not be entirely correct as it was over the phone)!! Basically this is a box that you can put a normal internal HD into, and with the help of some electronics, gives an external HD with USB connections!! This would be a perfect solution for me as it would make sharing the music very easy!!

Anyone know or heard of these boxes? Ive googled it but none of my search attempts have been successful!
