The thing is those who are saying, they only survived cos they wernt wearing a seat belt are forgetting the fact, theyre only here to say that out of PURE LUCK.

My mum was involved in a fatal RTA, and the chap who hit her wasnt wearing a belt. he went through the screen and cut his head off. serves the bastard right for speeding with balld tyres and being completly drunk tho!

Most of the stories ive read of people surviving with out a belt. the cars have been "OLD".

I havnt seen anyone saying they have survived a major crash in a modern car (ie post 97-98) and not wear a belt.....why cos they are all dead!!!

Modern cars with the saftey features of the shell and all the airbags, they are designed to work in conjunction with the seat belt.

like i said in a different thread last week, if an air bag goes of and u dont have a belt on, it will most likley break your neck and kill you.

IF you dont wear a belt, then you really are stupid. ANd even if you think your too "invincible" to wear one, surley the £60 fine and possible points may make you wear it.
