My st170 uses ford's version of VTEC, with both a dual stage inlet (DSI) with inlet manifold runner control and a changeover of cam profile at 6000rpm. It lacks a lot of torque low down in the rev range, but hey, i suppose you get reasonable mpg!

After 6000 rpm and it does fly, however the 6spd box takes a lot of stirring to keep the revs high if you want to get moving! I would love a turbo'd car, but as its my daily drive at approx 20k a year then it'll have to do!
