You can on many ships and vessels, but on fixed instalations its a definate no. You could risk peoples lives if there was an emergency and you were asleep mingin some place. I have been pissed offshore in Africa lots of times however, and with chopper piplots!
All the jobs i've been on every vessel has had a no drink policy, even when your along side its drink drive limit when your off shift and zero when your on shift even if your knocked off. Dependent on the client and ho much of a tit they are obviously
