Squeeking could be the alternator pulley giving up.

Remove the ribbed belt.
Stick something into the alternator to lock the internal parts. (be careful not to damage anything) You CAN use a screwdriver
The pulley should freewheel one way and lock the other. If it locks both way its mullered.
