The only time you'll break a gearbox on a stage 3 conversion is if you like launching it or drive like a complete loon. Judging by what you've said in your replies on this thread i would label you neither. Fairly hard driving would be ok.. Reason i break mine (and other users do) is because i have no mechanical sympahy (sp?) when it come to gearboxs. If it breaks replace it... if it doesn't do another launch
for the sake of a stage 3 conversion still with a T3 (£500 maybe) believe me you'll fall in love with the car again
I like to give my car some shit, thats why i bought it but i cant afford for it to be breaking it all the time. I dont do constant full on hard launch's but i like to know that when i line up next to one of my mates i cant give it a fairly hard launch and not worry which it seems i probably would be able to.
If the gearbox is fine for a nailing on stage 3 then its perfect for me, its my only car so it needs to stay pretty reliable.
im going to drive an rst that my mate has got and se what i think, if i dont like it i will probably start with stage 1 on the cossie and go from there. I am also quite liking the look of audi s4's atm as well so im considering them
