At the Holiday Inn in Doncaster where I stayed for a couple of nights last week they had a sign on the reception counter saying staff would be observing the two minute silence on both Remembrance Sunday (tomorrow) and Remembrance Day (11th).

It went on to say that although they realised not all guests would wish to honour the fallen, they should respect those of us who do.


I thought that was a lovely way of telling some of the arseholes who surround us every day that, for just a couple of minutes they should shut the fuck up and think of others instead of annoying us all with their pointless, self-centred selfishness.
