get internet banking setup. then when you get in from buying your petrol, log on (as you will invariably be jumping straight on the internet anyway
) and make a transfer for the amount that you have spent that day.
i do exactly that on a tesco credit card so get clubcard points on the purchase of the fuel on both my clubcard and my credit card. i pay no interest and use the points to redeem them at 4x their value on clubcard deals (e.g. a £160 eurotunnel trip was bought for £40 worth of clubcard vouchers).
you have to play all of their games to get something these days
