The car has no faults, its been in Skoda on vag-com... everything has been given a clean bill of health...
Rev count is giving a false reading on higher rpm... Been told this takes its signal from the coil, I have use of a couple of coils so its worth a try, 1 to fix the rev count, 2 to raise the rev limit from 5000rpm...
Eva way, 5000rpm aint the end of the world, I just like things to be right...
I fitted the cambelt last weekend, its timed up perfect, it was doing this before hand... so another possible cause illiminated
