serious question chip, why not just take it to somewhere local if it's going to potentially get you a load of grief?
at least that way you will know if there is any work that needs doing and you don't have to spend a day going to and from the mot station

i know that modded cars get lots of hassle because i've had one mot station say to me "here's your failure sheet, bring it back when you want it properly tested"
