i had one m reg only used to do it when tank was below 1/4 would cut out too every now & again , i thought it was fuel pump , mine only 60k on dragon green , loved that car looked mint even tho it was a 5 door . lowered etc .

sounds daft but it had a fuel filter put on wrong way ?
