the trouble with looking at the pic in camera is it usually looks ok, its only when you get back home and put it on a computer screen that you spot the errors, it might be worth just checking the image on your camera histogram (i usually have my histogram showing on every pic and just glance at the exposure levels) .if your peaks are all bunched up on the left hand side (i mean right up against the edge here not just towards the left) then its probably underexposed, cheers martyn ps if anyone wants to get a better understanding of histograms luminous landscape gives a good example
