Sorry but cozmeister is correct, the early BTCC mondeo was RWD as there was to be a 4x4 mondeo it allowed theme to pick one set of driven wheels in this case they used the rear it was however RWD with a transverse engine. As the 4x4 mondeo was delayed a year it forced the cars to become FWD.
